Factory direct: which workshop makes which brand

Short answer: We buy from one workshop in Guangzhou that quotes every style in three build grades, and we are a seller — not a factory. The workshop nickname buyers use in community threads is only published here once that workshop confirms it for the batch we hold; until then it is marked unconfirmed. What we can publish today is what we measured ourselves: canvas, hardware weight, stitch count and price per grade. Checked on 2026-10-29.

What will we publish, and what won't we?

Factory nicknames carry a lot of weight in buyer threads and almost no evidence. Three rules keep this page useful instead of marketing:

We publish

Measurements

Weight of the hardware on a scale, stitch count per inch, canvas tone beside a swatch, and the price of each grade.

We publish

Attribution with a source

When we say a workshop is known for a brand, we cite where that claim comes from — community threads, not our opinion.

We do not

Rank or pretend

No “best factory” league table, and never a claim that we are the workshop. If a workshop disputes anything here, we correct it.

Which workshop does the community credit with each brand?

This is what buyers repeat in r/RealRepLadies and r/RepladiesDesigner. It is attribution, not verification — we have not audited these workshops, and we only stock Louis Vuitton and Gucci.

Source: community threads, read 2026-10-29. Not confirmed by the workshops themselves.

Rows marked unconfirmed are not published as fact until the workshop confirms them for our batch.

What do buyers actually ask about factories?

Is 187 Factory worth it for a Chanel bag?

Community threads credit 187 with the best quilting alignment and hardware weight on Chanel. That is attribution, not our testing — we do not stock Chanel, so we cannot verify it and we do not rank it.

God Factory vs Duty Free — what is the difference?

Both names appear in threads about Louis Vuitton canvas. What changes between them is reported as canvas tone and lining, not silhouette. We mark both unconfirmed until our workshop confirms which batch we hold.

How do I check a factory batch before paying?

Ask for a weight reading on the hardware, a stitch count per inch, and a daylight photo beside a swatch. A seller who cannot produce those three is guessing, whatever factory name they use.

What actually changes between the three grades?

On the bench, not in a photo. This is the part we can check ourselves on every batch.

Grade 1

Standard

Correct silhouette and print. Canvas is stiffer out of the box and hardware plating is lighter — measurable on a scale.

Grade 2

Top grade

Softer canvas hand-feel, closer tone, corrected hardware weight. This is the grade most buyers take.

Grade 3

Flagship

Tightest stitch count and the heaviest plating we can get. Worth it only if you have handled the original.

What if you are a workshop named on this page?

Tell us what is wrong and we will change or remove the line, without argument. Nothing on this page is a rating, and no workshop has paid for a mention — we do not take placement.

We also do not publish supplier prices, order volumes or any workshop's contact details.
